El Escuco drops approximately 80 meters, and this Dare involves considerably more than standing underneath it looking impressed. You rappel into the landscape, then keep exploring Santo Domingo’s waterfalls and natural pools afterward. Apparently gravity needed a booking too.

Even the waterfall’s name has roots.

El Escuco means “water that falls” in Náhuat, a language that is still spoken in Santo Domingo de Guzmán and passed from one generation to the next. The community also preserves traditional red-clay craftsmanship, connecting the adventure around you to a living Indigenous heritage. The 80-meter rappel is impressive; the fact that the language behind its name is still alive might be even better.
