Santo Domingo de Guzmán hides an 80-meter waterfall, natural pools and a circuit that keeps going long after waterfall number one should’ve been enough. You’ll explore El Escuco, Poza El Encanto and Tepechapa through one of Sonsonate’s lesser-known adventure landscapes. Santo Domingo has apparently been gatekeeping.

WHY THIS DARE EXISTS?

This place still speaks its history. Literally.

Santo Domingo de Guzmán is considered a cradle of Náhuat-Pipil culture, and Náhuat is still spoken here and passed between generations. Even El Escuco means “Falling Water” in Náhuat, while local artisans continue shaping red clay into comales, pots and crafts. The waterfall is 80 meters tall and somehow still isn’t the only reason this place deserves your attention.
